MUST SEE LOCATIONS AT LONAVALA

  MUST  SEE  LOCATIONS  @  LONAVALA...

Lonavala is a hill stations 622 metres (2,041 ft) meters above sea level, in the Sahyadri ranges. The hill stations spreads over an approximate area of 38 square kilometres (15 sq mi). You may visit Lonavala for Family Trip, Solo Trip, a Trip with your Friends or a Trip with Your Beloved. As mentioned earlier it is a Hill Station it is most beautiful during Monsoon season due to its Lush Greenery and Beautiful Waterfalls.

Did you know the name Lonavala is derived from the words 'Leni' which means Caves and 'Avali' which means Series, i.e. 'A Series of Caves' which is a reference to the many caves like Karla Caves, Bhaja Caves and Bedsa that are close to Lonavala.

Sooooo, Let's being our trip from the main market area of Lonavala which is a common point for all. Let me tell you it is a center point for both a person travelling by train or a person travelling by Road. The streets are filled with Chikki & Fudge stores which you can't miss. Personally I like the taste of Maganlal Chikki and you must definitely try its White Chocolate & Walnut Fudge.

Sunil's Wax Museum
At some Distance of around 4 km you will find Sunil's Celebrity Wax Museum. This Wax Museum is founded by a 38 year old wax artist from Kerala,
Mr.Sunil Kandaloor. It houses sculptures of Rajiv Gandhi, Benazir Bhutto, Michael Jackson, Kapil Dev Adolf Hitler, AR Rahman and many more. Image of Chhatrapati Shivaji is the highlight of the museum. there is a entry fee of Rs. 250/- per person . the Suggested Duration of Visit : 1 hr . here you can meet your favorite celebs Replica and Click Photos and enjoy your time here .

Later we can move towards the top of the mountain which is surrounded by Lush Greenery and have panoramic mountain view with lots of  Crazy Curves & Slant Road.
Here we reach to the next point that is Lonaval Lake, surrounded by natural scenery. The lake dries up during winter & summer season but it comes to life during monsoon season.

Bhushi Dam was constructed in late 1980s by Indian Railway to provide water to their Steam Engines with help of cast-iron pipes. But as of today its an interested tourist attraction point where you can enjoy with your family & friends. Although, you may also make a point that its very accident-prone area cause and one should be careful if they are around children.
Next, and my favorite spot would be Pavana Lake also know as Pawna Lake, is a reservoir turned artificial lake formed by Pavana Dam.It is famous as a One-Day-Picnic spot and Camping Sites for visitors. Due to it's proximity with various forts such as Lohagad, Tikona, & Tunga and various Resorts it has seen rapid rise in tourism.

TIGER's Point  &  LION's Point
are very popular tourist points
situated between Bhushi Dam and Amby Valley. It offers spectacular panoramic landscape leaving
tourists in awe with the wondrous view from over 650m and adjacent hills. The
echo point is a major fascination for most of the Romance seekers. During the monsoon, you
can view multiple streams & waterfall from here, which also attracts many. It has got it's name from its appearance - like that of a Tiger & a Lion Leaping into the Valley.

The above mentioned attractions can be covered in 1 Day.
Now let's make your stay relaxing and rejuvenating, here you can choose the Resorts /Hotels from the following options which are close to the above mentioned sightseeing points to stay overnight.
